2025 Community Grants Program

Supporting the local community is a key priority for us, which is why we’ve launched the 2025 Joyner Central Community Grants Program for local sports clubs, not-for-profit groups and community organisations.

Local groups and organisations that meet the criteria are encouraged to apply for one of 5 x $1,000 grants available under the following priorities:

  • Enhancing or upgrading facilities

  • Increasing participation in community activities

  • Organising community events

The application period is open from Monday 9th December 2024 and closes at midnight on Friday 31st January 2025.

Application criteria (please read carefully to ensure your organisation meets all requirements)

1. Objective and Purpose

The Joyner Central Community Grants Program aims to provide financial support to local sports clubs, not-for-profit groups and community organisations. The grants purpose is to help improve community facilities, increase participation in activities, and/or support the organisation of community events.

2. Target Audience

  • Eligible applicants include:

    • Non-profit organisations, such as sports clubs

    • Schools

    • Community groups

  • Applicants must operate within the local area (see more below).

3. Funding Structure

  • Total Funding: 5 grants of $1,000 each are available.

  • Purpose of Funding: To be utilised for:

    • Enhancing or upgrading facilities

    • Increasing participation in community activities

    • Organising community events

4. Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicants must be based or conduct their primary activities in one of the following suburbs:

    • Joyner, Petrie, Lawnton, Bray Park, Warner, Cashmere, Whiteside

 

5. Assessment Criteria

  • Each application will be evaluated on one or more of the below:

    • Facility Improvement: How effectively the grant will enhance or upgrade facilities.

    • Participation Increase: The potential for the grant to help drive higher participation in community activities.

    • Event Organisation: The capability of the funding to support a successful event that benefits the local community.

  • Applicants are encouraged to clearly outline their intended use of the funds in alignment with these criteria.

6. Application Process

  • Submission Method: Applications must be submitted through the official Joyner Central website form (see below).

  • Required Information:

    • Organisation details and contact information

    • Project timeframe (Majority of project must be completed by July 31st 2025)

    • Project description, including how the funding will be used

    • Estimated budget breakdown

7. Key Dates and Timeframes

  • Application Open Date: Monday 9th December 2024

  • Application Close Date: Friday 31st January 2025

  • Notification of Successful Applicants and Funding Provided: February 2025
